ISLAMABAD: The International Workplace on Thursday mentioned the US can’t scapegoat Pakistan for its failures in Afghanistan, dismissing remarks by a high US navy official relating to Pakistan’s contributions to the battle in opposition to terrorism.
In a weekly briefing, International Workplace spokesman Nafees Zakaria rejected allegations by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Employees Common Joseph Dunford about Pakistan’s coverage in opposition to terrorism, and mentioned the US was attempting responsible Pakistan for its personal failures in Afghanistan.
Pakistani forces took indiscriminate motion in opposition to terrorists’ hideouts on its soil and cleared the areas of militants, the spokesman mentioned.
The previous US Secretary of State’s assertion on Pakistan’s coverage relating to terrorism was on report, he added.
Zakaria added that international minister Khawaja Asif, who’s presently on a tour of US, had taken up the problem of human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir along with his US counterpart.
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, after assembly International Minister Khawaja Asif on Wednesday, mentioned Pakistan is important for the long-term stability of South Asia.
“We wish Pakistan’s authorities to be steady, peaceable.. most of the similar points they’re struggling inside Pakistan are our points. So we predict there is a chance to strengthen that relationship,” he mentioned.
Pakistan’s relation with the US is “terribly vital”, he added.
