Free Sitemap Generator Recommend Google, Sitemap Generator is a free software that will help you to automatically generate sitemaps in google (XML) or yahoo (TXT) format or just to spider your website and collect all the internal links for you.
The tool may export collected links to CSV or HTML file too. The main reason to build this tool was that all other similar programs didn’t fit my requirements.
This software is free for any use, but comes without any warranty. Please, note that the program acts like spider, but will download all the pages of the target site. Do not use this tool to crawl 3-rd party sites without their permission.
Although the generator passed my internal tests and should be stable, the bugs are part of the software development. I will be really thankful if you report any bug you find. Feel free to contact me with all your troubles, comments, feature requests or ideas.
You can generate any type of sitemap and for different webmaster tools programs. I have test this software and its working fine 100%
The “Settings” window allows you to configure program behavior.
“Max.file size” is the maximal filesize accepted. Every target file (page) bigger than this will be skipped and will be labeled as “failed”
“Max.URL length” — this is the maximal size of the URL in characters. URLs longer than this will be skipped.
“Server Response Timeout” this is the max.time that Sitemap Generator will wait for the target server to respond
“Delay between pages” — this says the program how long to wait before downloading the next page (gives you a way to control the server load)
The “www” checkbox at the bottom, if checked, will instruct the program to crawl both “www.domain.com” and “domain.com” as the same site. Usially the “www.” prefix points to the same site, but because “www.” is in fact a subdomain, it may be separate site. If so – check this box to tell the program that these are different sites.
